The United Nations General Assembly has delayed the graduation of Bangladesh and Nepal from the least developed country category until November 2029, Bloomberg reports. The decision will allow the countries to enjoy trade benefits for three more years, including export subsidies and duty-free access for Bangladeshi clothing products to the EU market. The delay is intended to help the economies of both countries adjust to the loss of preferences amid global trade uncertainty and supply chain disruptions.
