Taiwan's Taiex index fell 3.5 percent on Friday, hitting its lowest level since Aug. 25, Bloomberg reports. Since its peak on October 6, the index has already lost more than 10%, finding itself on the verge of a technical correction. The negative dynamics stem from the global sell-off in stocks of the artificial intelligence sector amid weak quarterly reports from US technology companies, as well as investor concerns about rising credit costs and high capital expenditures by corporations on AI infrastructure.
