The Binance cryptocurrency exchange estimated the damage from a possible hacker attack at about $6.3 billion, Kommersant writes. As part of its investigation into the incident, the site froze assets worth $3 billion, Nikkei Asia reports. The stablecoin issuers Tiecoin and Circle joined the block, limiting access to $1.57 billion and $800 million, respectively, as well as Ripple, which froze about $200 million. Against this background, the price of Bitcoin fell 2%, to a six-week low of $77,646, and the BNB token lost more than 8%.
