The net profit of Russian insurance companies in the nine months of 2026 has halved, Kommersant writes. In the third quarter, the insurers suffered a loss of 11.5 billion rubles, which was only the third negative quarterly result in the last six years. Experts attribute the decrease in indices to the increase in unprofitability in the OSAGO and comprehensive insurance sectors due to the constant increase in the cost of vehicle repairs, as well as in the field of voluntary health insurance due to the increase in the cost of medical services.
