Exports of Japanese semiconductor-related products in the first half of the fiscal year rose 41 percent year-on-year to 7.66 trillion yen ($48.5 billion), writes Nikkei Asia. The increase in the index is due to high demand for components for AI infrastructures and data centers, as well as a large increase in export prices for memory chips.
