Semiconductor maker Marvell Technology has advanced in negotiations to acquire Lumentum, a developer of optical components for data centers, Bloomberg reports. Lumentum's market value is estimated at $83 billion, while Marvel's is valued at $221 billion. The potential acquisition could be among the ten largest deals in the history of the technology and telecommunications sectors.
