British Chancellor of the Exchequer John Healey has presented a draft budget that includes a £7 billion tax increase, Bloomberg reports. In particular, the corporate tax increase for banks will increase from 3% to 6%, and the income rates from real estate and savings will increase by 2 percentage points. The document also sets out an allocation of £3.7 billion to help households pay their energy bills and an increase in defense spending to 3% of GDP by 2030.
