Ethiopia received from Russia 12 Su-35 fighter jets and four batteries of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems. This was announced by the country's Prime Minister, Avi Ahmed, noting that the shipments were completed a year ahead of the agreed schedule. The transfer of the first group of aircraft was confirmed by the general director of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikhayev: before the delivery, the fighters underwent a full cycle of factory tests and flew from Komsomolsk-on-Amur to their permanent bases.
