OpenAI plans to purchase special AI chips from Google to develop its data centers, the information reports. The developer is seeking to diversify its hardware offerings while remaining one of the biggest buyers of Nvidia GPUs. Google began selling its Tensor Processing Units (TPU) directly to third-party customers this year.
