South Korean memory chip maker SK Hynix plans to spend 100 trillion won ($75.39 billion) on shareholder payouts this year, the Wall Street Journal reports. The plan includes more than 30 trillion won in dividends and 20 trillion won in share buybacks, in addition to a 40 trillion won buyback already in August. The decision was made against the background of the company's record financial performance in the third quarter, driven by high demand for artificial intelligence equipment.
