British Chancellor of the Exchequer John Haley plans to increase taxes on banks, gambling companies and online marketplaces, including Amazon and Temo, as part of the new budget, Reuters reports. The funds received will be used to support households facing high electricity bills and to freeze fuel taxes. The step was taken against the background of a record increase in the cost of loans to the British government since 2008, when in order to partially offset the tax burden, the Ministry of Finance intends to reduce the scope of the flow of corporate documents, which should save businesses 800 million pounds per year.
