The Ministry of Digital Development is discussing the possibility of limiting the volume of foreign Internet traffic to Russians and filtering it with technical means to prevent threats, reports Forbes. The initiative may be included in the bill to reform the communications industry. Experts point to the technological difficulties in implementing the measure: it is extremely difficult to separate foreign traffic from Russian traffic, while about a third of its volume comes from Android and iOS updates, app stores and other services.
