US President Donald Trump's administration plans to reverse rules put in place under Joe Biden to limit methane emissions from the oil and gas sector, Bloomberg reports. The easing of environmental quality regulations is expected to save the industry about 45 billion dollars. The initiative is designed to lower the cost of energy and support small mining companies for whom the cost of complying with previous standards created risks of bankruptcy.
