US Energy Secretary Chris Wright told CNBC that Washington may allow additional supplies of Russian diesel to the world market depending on Moscow's actions. Earlier, the Donald Trump administration suspended sanctions as part of an agreement to supply 1.8 million tons of Russian diesel in October and November. According to the minister, the concessions act as an incentive to end the conflict in Ukraine. At the same time, analysts point out that such volumes will not significantly reduce prices considering global demand of 28 million barrels per day.
