Russian President Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation with Finnish President Alexander Staab and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Storr, writes Kommersant. The conversation was initiated by European leaders who discussed ending the conflict in Ukraine and preparations for possible negotiations in Abu Dhabi. This is Vladimir Putin's first direct contact with senior EU officials since his conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron in July 2025.
