Qatar Energy has extended the force majeure regime for the supply of liquefied natural gas to Italy's Edison until the end of December, Reuters reports. The suspension of shipments, introduced in April amid the conflict in the Middle East, will affect three additional scheduled LNG shipments. Edison has a 25-year contract with the Qatari company to supply 6.4 billion cubic meters of gas per year, which provides about 10% of Italy's total consumption.
