The Ministry of Education and Science will increase the number of budget places in Russian universities for engineering, technical and medical specializations in the 2027 admission campaign, Kommersant writes. The largest increase is expected in the fields of mechanical engineering (516 places will be added), computer science (290), clinical medicine (283) and nuclear energy (241). Additional quotas aimed at ensuring technological leadership will be distributed among the educational institutions on a competitive basis until December 29.
