The net profit of the Russian banking sector in September fell to 414 billion rubles compared to 440 billion rubles a month earlier, according to the central bank report. The industry's revenues decreased for the second month in a row due to cuts in dividends from subsidiaries, as well as losses from transactions in securities and foreign currency. At the same time, loans to companies slowed by almost half by August, to 0.8 trillion rubles, while in retail, before the change in the conditions of the state programs, there was a jump in demand for mortgages - housing loans worth 617 billion rubles were issued per month.
