The Association of Small Regional Operators asked the Ministry for Digital Development to extend the transition period to three years as part of the reform in the communications industry, writes Kommersant. The organization fears that within the one-year period proposed by the ministry, the companies will not have time to reissue licenses without stopping the provision of services. To meet the new requirements, operators need to reassess their authorized capital and expand their infrastructure. The Ministry of Digital Development announced its willingness to make the transition period realistic for businesses.
