Japanese snack maker Kamada Seika is exiting the Indian market and transferring 49% of its shares in the joint venture to its local partner LT Foods, Nikkei Asia reports. The decision was made due to the unprofitability of the direction: according to the results of the financial year that ended in March 2026, the revenues of the Indian division amounted to 140.97 million rupees with a net loss of 121.11 million rupees. In the future, the company plans to focus on developing its business in North America, expecting to increase the share of revenues abroad to 43% by 2030.
