British authorities are considering the possibility of returning to a free movement regime with the European Union, Prime Minister Andy Burnham said in an interview with the Sunday Times. According to him, after Brexit, the net flow of immigrants reached a peak of 900,000 people per year, compared to 330,000 before the referendum in 2016. Burnham noted that under the previous system, Europeans were more likely to return to their homeland, while under the new rules, foreigners move into the kingdom regularly.
