The government of the Russian Federation submitted to the State Duma a bill that exempts financial assistance to expectant mothers in the amount of up to one million rubles from personal income tax and insurance premiums, Izvestia writes. Currently, employers can pay this amount without withholding taxes only during the first year after the child's birth. The amendments will allow the transfer of funds in advance - during the maternity leave. If the document is approved, the new rules will enter into force on January 1, 2027.
