German carmaker Audi will invest $4 billion to build its first factory in the United States, plans for which were announced yesterday. According to Reuters, the project in the state of Georgia will create 4,500 jobs and produce up to 200,000 cars annually. US President Donald Trump said the company's decision was prompted by increased import tariffs, which caused Audi to lose $1.4 billion last year. The start of production is planned for the early 1930s.
