The Russian State Academic Choir named after A.V. Sveshnikov will appear in Vologda. The Central State Choir, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, will present the program "From the Tenth Century to Catherine the Second" on the Vologda stage. The legendary group, led by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Yekaterina Antonenko, will lead listeners through centuries of Russian choral tradition. The program includes ancient contemporary chants, baroque masterpieces and unique polyphonic works. The Russian State Academic Choir is rightfully considered one of the leading groups in the country. The greatest composers of the 20th century - Dmitri Shostakovich, Georgy Sviridov and Rodion Shderin - trusted him with the premiere of their works. During the Great Patriotic War, the artists appeared in the rear and at the front, and in 1945 they gave concerts in Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Budapest. The concert will take place on November 18 at 18:30 in the hall of the College of Arts in Vologda as part of the program of the Russian Ministry of Culture "Seasons of the All-Russian Philharmonic".
