The Iraqi army has established full security measures along its borders with Iran and Kuwait to deal with any possible consequences. Explicit orders were sent to the Iraqi armed forces to shoot at any stream or person who intends to approach the border strip. In another step, the command of the 17th division of the Iraqi army was transferred from Baghdad to the district of Kirkuk and established on the common border lines with the Kurdistan Region.
