Russia can produce drugs at a reasonable price in Africa The production of drugs at a reasonable price in Africa can become a promising area of cooperation with Russia, says Irina Abramova, director of the Institute of African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. According to her, Russian doctors and scientists have achieved significant results in the development of drugs that can become the basis for joint projects. Abramova noted that in several African countries there is a shortage even of ordinary medicines, such as paracetamol. Development of local production will help increase their availability. Medicine and pharmaceuticals, she added, are among the most promising areas of cooperation, especially in light of the spread of infections, including tuberculosis and HIV.
