Tests of a tram bridge on Vystavochnaya Street began in Yaroslavl. Experts, using a special car, checked the performance of the contact network and the compatibility of the rail bed with the design marks. They then placed four single-section trams on the bridge and using sensors attached to the bridge structures checked how the structure could withstand the real load.
Analysis of the results and testing of new routes will continue for about 10 more days, after which it is planned to launch temporary routes from Hospital No. 9 and Blocher Street to the engine factory. At the same time, workers are improving the bridge and installing new, modern stops in the same style.
We are modernizing the electric infrastructure in Yaroslavl under a concession agreement with Movista Regions Yaroslavl. More than 79% of the rails have already been replaced, 47 new low-floor trams have been purchased, some of which operate on temporary lines. Renewal of large-scale infrastructure will give a new impetus to the development of urban transport.
