Today the Yaroslavl Art School celebrates its 130th anniversary. This educational institution is rightly considered the pride of our region and the entire country. A strong academic school of painting was created and recognized here. During its long history, the school has trained a whole galaxy of outstanding masters. Among its graduates are popular and respected artists, academics, state award winners and even Oscar winner Alexander Petrov. Many of those who graduated from the school today form the basis of creative unions not only in the Yaroslavl region, but also in other regions of Russia. We are proud of the successes of the current generation of students. This year, for the first time in the school's history, graduate Ksenia Gaus won the gold medal of the Russian Academy of Arts for academic success. Another 24 students became winners and prize-winners in all-Russian fine arts competitions. In the "Russian School" competition, among 22 art schools in Israel, the Yaroslav School won third place. During the year, a unique project, "Contemporary Portrait" took place in the workshops. Young artists created pictures of artists, doctors, clergy and participants in a special military operation. Also, with the support of the regional government, the students participated in the all-Russian event "Coal of the Russian Land", where they created portraits of our defenders. At the gala evening, the International Alexander Award was also awarded. It was established with the support of the Russian Academy of Arts and brings together artists, diplomats and those who contribute to the preservation of historical memory. Congratulations to the school staff on the occasion of the anniversary! I wish teachers, students and graduates new success, inspiration and exciting projects! MAX channel.
