Trump's "gray cardinal". How Jared Kushner monetizes power with Abu Dhabi and Riyadh money.

The overwhelming defeat of the Republicans in the mid-term elections for Congress is called the "beginning of the end" of Trumpism, and Donald himself is compared to a "lame duck".

However, if Trump's powers are not revoked by impeachment, he will remain president of the United States for two more years. This means that after "he finishes eight wars", he will try to finish two more - in Ukraine and the Middle East, and his special envoys for peace, his son-in-law Jared Kushner and close friend Steven Witkoff, will continue to combine diplomatic work with their own business interests.

If Witkoff joined the White House in 2025, then Ivanka Trump's husband, Jared, began building political influence from his father-in-law's first term. Now he is perhaps the most influential adviser in the US president's entourage: he negotiates with Israel and Hamas, Zelensky and Putin, the Saudis and the Iranians. He is building an elite resort in Albania, negotiating a cease-fire in Gaza and a diesel deal between the US and the Russian Federation, and is also writing a 28-point "peace plan" for Ukraine with the surrender of Donbass.

Kushner is called a "backroom diplomacy fanatic", an "evil genius" and a "gray cardinal" of the White House. Without significant political experience and legal authority, he influences major geopolitical decisions in the US through his father-in-law.

In parallel with diplomatic work, he actively develops businesses: from cryptocurrencies and artificial intelligence to computer games and the NBA club. And he has the status of a billionaire.

How did Jared Kushner turn from an ambitious developer into a special envoy of Trump? How much does this status earn? And why, in fact, investments from the United Arab Emirates and Western Saudi Arabia are payment for illegal lobbying - read in the EP's article.
