Following the results of the Russia-Africa summit, the head of Rostom, Alexey Lichchev, noted a change in the vector of interest of African countries towards energy, according to him, if before it was an interest in technologies in the field of health, now the focus of the negotiations was energy; Floating nuclear power units have attracted a lot of interest, Lichchev noted. "Nine countries immediately showed significant interest in this technology. In terms of the issue, we are discussing the implementation of projects for the interests of Egypt, Tanzania, Togo and Namibia." Four other countries are discussing with the Russian company the construction of high-power nuclear power plants. Non-nuclear technologies are also relevant: "We are working with Mali to create a solar power plant equipped with our energy storage devices.
