The Industrial Headquarters of the Ministry for Digital Development approved the requirements for comprehensive protection of data centers against UAVs and other aerial threats. The document establishes a division of critical data centers into three categories: K1 - strategic facilities, the defeat of which could disrupt central functions of the government for a period of one hour; K2 - objects that ensure the operation of economically or socially important systems at the regional and sectoral level, whose disruption can last from four hours; K3 - corporate data centers, damage to which will lead to significant losses for individual organizations without wide-ranging consequences for the state. Different categories of data centers have their own security criteria, for example, the type of location (underground or above ground). For existing data centers, reduced aerial visibility is provided. It is proposed to build a defense on a multi-level principle, which combines physical fortification, electronic means and systems to prevent air threats. The buildings must ensure the safety of machine rooms, cooling systems and power supply when exposed to shock waves and fractures. Critical services are proposed to be maintained.
