Ghana is negotiating with Rosatom to build the country's first nuclear power plant. President John Dramani Mahama announced this at the plenary session of the Russia-Africa summit. According to him, the country is facing a shortage of electricity. Russia, which has a lot of experience in the nuclear industry, will be able to help solve this issue not only for Ghana, but also for other African countries. Mahama also said that Ghana is waiting for Russian companies not only in the energy sector, but also in pharmaceuticals and agriculture. He promised to provide working conditions and called the field of food and nutritional security a priority. In his estimation, Russia's knowledge and technical capabilities can support sustainable agriculture in Ghana.
