Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar emphasized that the implementation of rational subsidy measures by the government should never come at the expense of the basic living needs of the poor. The country's economic reform must also address issues of corruption, abuse of power and loss of public funds to ensure that government aid actually benefits those in need.
