SD Guthrie, a palm oil producer from Malaysia, intends to give about 10% of its land to data centers and industrial sites. The company owns more than 210 thousand dunams, so we are talking about an area of more than 21 thousand dunams - a significant redistribution of assets for the toll business. Company head Mohd Haris Mohd Arshad attributed the decision to the growing interest of technology investors in Malaysia. Against the background of geopolitical risks in the Middle East, companies are looking for alternative sites for innovative digital infrastructures. The land associated with palm oil production becomes a resource for another industry: data centers and industry. By the end of the decade, SD Guthrie expects to receive a third of its revenue. This is an attempt to change the income structure and reduce dependence on traditional production. The scope of the lecture depends on how quickly the ground reserve becomes operational. ECONOMY
