More than half of Americans — 56 percent — believe their financial situation has worsened since the start of Donald Trump's second term. This result was recorded by a Financial Times poll. More than a quarter of the respondents have already cut back on food and health, two categories that are particularly difficult to drop. The increase in prices becomes for the administration not an abstract economic indicator, but the daily budget of the voters. The responsibility for the increase in the prices of products and services of the current authorities is 54% of the respondents. It links the evaluation of economic policy to the personal experiences of families. The political consequences could appear in the parliamentary elections on November 3. More than 40% of respondents said that inflation makes them vote for Democrats.
