The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has approved the settlement procedure in sums through the payment switch. The regulator will create a unified centralized infrastructure for processing all payments from cards and electronic wallets, clearing and transfer of settlement documents. Its operator will be the main information center under the central bank. The banks will be able to connect to the system as direct participants, payment services with transactions carried out through a settlement bank. All participants must provide liquidity and protect user privacy and payment details.
