The central bank announced the official launch of Apple Pay in Uzbekistan. The agency reported that work is underway to connect cards from the national payment systems Ozcard and Huma. Their support will be available soon. In the first phase, the service will work with Visa and Mastercard cards of eight banks: NBU, IPAC Bank Yuli, Orient Finance Bank, Kapitalbank, TBC Bank Uzbekistan and Octobank, as well as with Visa cards of a partner bank and Anavim Bank. Users will be able to add cards to Apple Wallet and pay for purchases using iPhone and other compatible devices.
