Donald Trump allowed discussions with the DPRK about the hacking of the Binance crypto exchange, but set a condition: Pyongyang's involvement must first be confirmed. The US president told reporters at Mar-a-Lago that Washington is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the theft of more than $6 billion. Therefore, the American leader did not recognize the conclusions of the investigation as final. The FBI previously linked the October 29 attack to the North Korean group Traderbog. According to the bureau, stolen assets are mostly transferred to Ethereum for further withdrawal through crypto exchange services. Binance announced that it will commit more than $6.34 billion in capital and reserve funds to cover customer losses and replace approximately 90% of affected assets. Trump has so far limited himself to the possibility of talking to North Korea without announcing specific diplomatic steps. At the same time, the financial consequences have already occurred: even if the investigation identifies the culprits, the exchange must complete the restoration of the security of the customers' funds.
