The head of the State Tax Service stated that this innovation is intended to expand the tax base. According to him, the draft amendments also provide for improving public oversight mechanisms and expanding their scope. "Today, a mechanism is activated to return part of the VAT paid for goods and services purchased by VAT payers. Starting next year, it is proposed to return to consumers a certain part of the amount paid by bank transfer for goods and services purchased from taxpayers who are not registered as VAT payers," noted Orhan Nazarli.
