The Business Development Fund of Azerbaijan (A. in İF) which under the Ministry of Economy introduced a new product "green loan" to expand entrepreneurs' access to financial resources and support the implementation of "green" projects. As part of the product, entrepreneurs will be given loans in the amount of 10-50 million ₼ for a period of up to 120 months at an annual rate of up to 5%. Entrepreneurs can receive a deferment in repaying the principal debt for up to half of the loan period, which reduces their financial burden at the initial stage of project implementation. Up to 50% of the loan amount can be used for construction and repair work. For a loan amount exceeding ₼500 thousand, entrepreneurs must provide at least 20% of the total cost of the project from their own money. The green loan is designed to finance capital expenditures for projects in areas such as climate change mitigation, renewable energy, resource efficiency, carbon and waste reduction. The funding mechanism will expand the use of green technologies, develop environmentally sustainable business models and stimulate the participation of entrepreneurs in the green change process. A. İF is one of the main government institutions that provide financial support to the country's business environment through preferential loans, government guarantees and interest subsidies, as well as investments. The fund's activities are aimed at promoting the development of the non-oil and gas sector in Azerbaijan, supporting import and export substitution projects, and increasing the competitiveness of local enterprises. The fund also plays an important role in expanding access to financing, facilitating investments in the private sector and attracting direct foreign investment to our country.
