Different scenarios for the results of the elections in Israel ▫ Elections in Israel are not just a competition for the number of votes; The main issue is which political movement can receive the support of at least 61 representatives out of a total of 120 Knesset members and form the future cabinet. Netanyahu may return to power, his opponents may form a government, or political disagreements may bring Israel to a new impasse. ▫ Polls in recent months indicated the leadership of the "Ishar" party led by Gadi Eisenkot against Netanyahu's Likud; But none of the two parties probably have a smooth path towards the formation of the cabinet. It is possible that the competing coalitions will not reach a majority, and in the meantime the Arab parties will become one of the decisive players with the possibility of winning 13 to 15 mandates; However, their participation in the cabinet faces political obstacles. ▫ In this report, we examine six scenarios leading up to the Israeli elections: from Netanyahu's re-victory and the establishment of a government led by Eisenkot, to a fragile coalition of the opposition, a minority cabinet, a government of national unity and the continuation of the political deadlock.
