As of September 1 this year, 1,246,813 pension recipients were registered in Orel. This is evidenced by recent data from the Social Fund of Russia.
The undisputed leader in the ranking in terms of the number of pensioners is Moscow, where more than 3.03 million senior citizens live (of which more than 547 thousand people continue to work officially). The Moscow region took second place with 1.95 million people. The first three are closed by the Krasnodar Territory - there are more than 1.58 million recipients of pension payments. In fourth place is Saint Petersburg, where 1.44 million pensioners live.
