Binance has announced full compensation for losses to main token holders According to the crypto exchange itself, after a recent hacker attack, it was able to fully compensate customers for lost assets in BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD and ZEC tokens. This is 90% of all losses caused by hacking. The remaining 10% are tokens not included in the top ten. Since the liquidity of such tokens is lower, purchasing them in the volume required for compensation will take longer, the platform said. A total of $6.3 billion was allocated to compensate for losses. Binance is the world's largest crypto exchange based in China. The number of its users worldwide is estimated at more than 300 million. In 2024, the exchange reported managing assets of more than 160 billion dollars. Hackers from North Korea are suspected of attacking Binance.
