Kalas: Lavrov did not show willingness to negotiate on Ukraine at the G20 summit in Atlanta When asked by an AFP journalist if Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov gave signals about the willingness of the Russian Federation to make concessions to end the war in Ukraine, Kaya Kalas answered in the negative. "Even if they (representatives of the Russian authorities - ed.) claimed otherwise in words, their actions speak otherwise," said the EU's head of diplomacy, noting that July, August and September were the deadliest months for citizens in Ukraine. "Of course, he (Labrov - ed.) told a lot of lies, a lot of distorted facts, which later we were able to refute," Kalas added, calling for increased pressure on Russia. Another unnamed European diplomat told AFP that Lavrov behaved "quite provocatively" at the G20 meeting.
