🔶 Demonstration of 600 thousand people in France for a wage increase.

About 600,000 people demonstrated on Thursday (November 5) in various cities in France against the rising cost of living, low wages and the lack of funding for public education. These interceptions were conducted at the invitation of labor unions and student organizations and were accompanied by strikes and disruptions in the activities of several schools, universities and public service centers.

The French Interior Ministry announced that the initial number of participants would be almost 600,000, while the CGT trade union put the number of protesters at around 1,600,000.

The demonstrators are demanding an increase in the minimum wage, the allocation of additional financial resources to schools and universities, and the improvement of the working conditions of public sector employees. They also have a protest about reducing the purchasing power of households and the consequences of the government's economic policies. Most of the councils were held in a peaceful atmosphere, but in some cities, including Paris and Lyon, there were clashes between demonstrators and police forces. Police used tear gas to disperse groups of protesters.
