🔶 The Revolutionary Guards announced the "capture of two American drones" and the burning of two oil tankers and a tug boat.
The Revolutionary Guards issued a statement announcing the fire in two oil tankers and a tug boat in the Strait of Hormuz and also claimed that the Revolutionary Guards forces were able to "take control of two Lucas drones and land them safely."
In the statement of the Revolutionary Guards, claiming that the cause of the fire in the said oil tanker was "hit by a mine", it is written: "In two separate incidents, a large oil tanker that tried to pass through the illegal crossing south of the strait, had a fire accident due to being hit by a mine and was arrested."
In another part of the Revolutionary Guards announcement, it was said that another supertanker that left this axis east of the Strait of Hormuz was stopped by a massive fire, and a tug boat that approached this supertanker to put out the fire also caught fire. Also, the Revolutionary Guards claimed in its announcement that the forces of the Electronic Warfare Unit of the Revolutionary Guards Navy, by taking over and directing 2 Lucas MLTs, "succeeded in landing them safely and taking the loot."
The Revolutionary Guards also accused the US of "imposing very heavy insurance costs for the vessels that were damaged on the American taxpayers and its allies in the region by insisting and inciting vessels to commit violations and pass through the mine-laid passage."
In an implicit reference to the defeat of the Republican Party in the US midterm elections, this statement accused Washington of "carelessness". The Revolutionary Guards statement also adds that instead of paying these costs, the US government could have prevented these heavy losses and defeat in the elections by releasing Iran's blocked credit "which is no less than half of the costs incurred so far".
