🔶 American midterm elections; Eight factors for escalating or reducing tensions with Iran.

A report of raw Nilofer.

On the eve of the US mid-term elections, the war between the US and Israel's captives against Iran entered its ninth month, and diplomatic efforts to end it intensified again. However, the dispute over Iran's nuclear program, the American sanctions and the security of traffic in the Strait of Hormuz is still delaying the achievement of an agreement. The mediators' initiative has not yet reached a result.

The main connection is the settlement of the parties' obligations. Washington wants the issue of the nuclear program to be on the agenda from the very beginning of the negotiations, Tehran prioritizes the removal of oil export restrictions and the blockade of its ports.

Meanwhile, the fate of the war does not depend only on the decision of these two capitals. The following eight factors, according to Omid Memarian, the senior Iran analyst at the Hashar Institute, a think tank in Washington that focuses on reforming US foreign policy in the Middle East, Leila Maruti, a political analyst who lives in Finland, and Abak Razai Driakanari, an associate professor of international relations at Leiden University in the Netherlands, can turn one on a larger scale.
