The Human Rights Agency of Herna announced the confirmation of the death sentence of Arman Marfati, one of the demonstrators in December 1404 and an inmate of Karaj's Kazalhasser Prison, by the country's Supreme Court.

He was previously sentenced to death by the verdict of Judge Abolkasem Salvati, head of Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, for charges such as "participating in actions against state security, entering religious places with the intent to destroy and participating in the burning of mosques and seminaries."

The legal authorities also claimed that the actions attributed to Arman Marfati caused about 50 billion Tomans in damage.

The death sentence of two other prisoners, Mehrad Mohammedinia and Ashkan Maliki, who were tried in joint cases with Arman Marfati, was executed in June of this year. These two prisoners were sentenced to death for charges of "collaborating" with captives and "hostile governments", "creating insecurity and public terror", "destroying and burning public property" and "participating in operational measures against the security of the state".
