Abbas Iraqichi announced in an interview with Al Jazeera that Tehran does not see the need to meet directly with American representatives in the current situation.

According to him, Iran's conditions are clear and negotiations with the mediators continue.

According to the Foreign Minister of Iran, the Republic of Salami received and checked the names of Majdi Vance, the Vice President of the United States.

He described this action as a "positive step" and at the same time warned the US government not to make "another mistake".

The Iranian authorities do not trust the negotiations with the administration of Donald Trump.

Earlier, the Wall Street Journal published the news about Vance's letter to Mosen Razai, the Secretary General of Iran's National Security Council.

The purpose of this action was the possibility to start negotiations and check whether it is possible to rule out planned military attacks against Iran through diplomacy. The Axios news site also reported, citing a US administration official, that Vance had made Iran's nuclear program a prerequisite for any negotiations.
