🔶 Declaration of a crime against 13 people in Lebanon in the Hezbollah explosives delivery case.

On Friday, October 30, the military justice system in Lebanon announced a crime against 13 people in connection with a truck carrying explosives belonging to the Lebanese Hezbollah assassination group. This shipment was seized by the Lebanese security forces at the beginning of the month.

According to the report by Lebanon's official news agency, two of the accused were arrested when the cargo was seized and are still in custody. 11 other defendants are on the run and were tried in absentia.

The true identity of five of the accused is still unknown and they have only been identified using pseudonyms.

Claude Ghanem, the representative of the prosecution at the military court in Lebanon, declared a crime against these people.

The accusations include "acting against the internal security of the country, illegal possession of weapons and explosives and the establishment of illegal groups with the aim of undermining the authority of the government." In early October, the truck carrying explosives was stopped at a checkpoint on the main route between Beirut and the Bekaa Valley.
